Both of these positions will begin at an hourly rate while training on our manufacturing floor. Within a short period of time and with demonstrated potential, these individuals will then advance into an exempt level full time process engineer position with project based duties at both our Northfield and Bloomington, MN locations. Candidates for these positions must have a 4 year degree preferably in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering. These positions require attention to detail; strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills; good technical and communication skills; the ability to multi-task and set priorities and the ability to work collaboratively. All Flex is located in an attractive two college community just 35 freeway miles south of the Twin Cities. We also have a second location in Bloomington, MN. Process Engineer - SMT We currently seek an experienced Surface Mount Technology Process Engineer. This position will provide engineering support for the development and production of electronic assemblies. The Engineer will oversee the programming and operation of surface mount assembly units, the conversion of existing hand assembly jobs to automated assembly, provide layout and panel drawings as required, lead SMT Operators, work with project teams on all development builds, and provide feedback and direction to engineers to minimize board assembly costs. Qualified candidates should possess a 4 year degree in either Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, have a minimum of 3-5 years of process engineering experience in the SMT printed circuit board industry, experience with SMT programming and reflow profiling, the ability to lead SMT Operators, the ability to multi-task and set priorities, and strong analytical and communication skills.
